IFRS Foundation now an Observer to the Platform, following consolidation of CDSB and VRF

Following the completed consolidation of two former Partners into the IFRS Foundation – the Climate Disclosure Standards Board and the Value Reporting Foundation – the Partners of the Impact Management Platform have welcomed the IFRS Foundation as an Observer. The IFRS Foundation is developing a comprehensive global baseline of sustainability-related disclosures standards, as announced at COP26.

As such, the Platform Partners and the IFRS Foundation will have a continued dialogue to support clarity in the disclosure landscape, which is cited on the Platform website as an action of impact management for organisations, as well as investors and financial institutions.

As an Observer, the IFRS Foundation will be invited to participate in all project work related to the Platform. However, the guidance on the Platform website is reflective of the common views of specifically the Platform Partners, and is not necessarily the view of Observers.
